I earned my Master of Social Work Degree with a concentration in Mental Health at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State and certified Child Mental Health Specialist.
I have 10+ years of practice experience working in both residential, community mental health and group practice settings serving children and families with a variety of mental health concerns. I specialize in treating anxiety, panic disorders, and OCD, as well as trauma and stress related disorders, including PTSD. I have also worked with youth with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. I am one of the Clinical Supervisors for our team of Associate Clinicians and recently celebrated my 5 year anniversary of working at the Sendan Center.
I have experience working with children, adolescents and their families. When providing therapy, I involve family members to promote meaningful and lasting change. I am passionate about serving diverse populations and am culturally sensitive in my approach. I incorporate the values of each client’s background into our work.
I believe that we are the experts of our own stories and we can all benefit from connection and support when navigating life’s challenges. I work from a strength-based and person-centered approach that integrates trauma-focused, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and other evidenced-based treatments including ERP. We will work collaboratively to determine which approach will work best for your family’s needs and goals. I have a warm, compassionate, and affirming style. Therapy provides a safe space to feel seen, strengthen self-awareness and foster inner resilience. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for healing and growth.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking and exploring the beaches in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my family and friends. I am also a Mother and passionate about giving back through volunteer work and community involvement.
