Education and Training:
I earned my master’s degree in social work at Eastern Washington University in 2010 specializing in School Social Work. I attended Western Washington University pursuing a BA in Human Services. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker in Washington, and I hold an Expressive Arts certification from the Creative Institute of Expressive Arts in Seattle, WA.
Work Experience:
I have 17 years + supporting children and families in schools to reduce barriers and support wellness. I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, depression, social emotional skill development, and life transitions.
Works With:
My passion is working with children, teens, and families. Providing a safe and non-judgmental space to explore challenges and build on strengths. I view each person as a whole and believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change.
Treatment Approach:
My person-centered approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Narrative therapy, Trauma informed, Motivation interviewing and Mindfulness along with expressive arts modalities that are tailored to everyone’s goals, personality, and context to help navigate growth and healing.
Who I Am:
When I am not working, you will find me outdoors in my garden or hiking our local trails with my dogs. I enjoy a good read and more importantly spending time with my family and friends.
